Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen

This audio interface is perfect for DIY, low budget studios. It offers high quality audio recordings at an affordable price. We have used this audio interface to produce our album 'Renewal' and it remained reliable and consistent throughout the recording process. 

Occasionally, the live playback monitoring and recording can be slightly delayed depending on the size of the DAW project and efficiency of the computer or iMac. An option to fix the problem could be to reduce the buffer size but that also risks the dreaded system overload. This hasn't proved to be a significant problem for us but could be significant for other producers and is why we don't recommend it for high budget studios who need to record full bands with zero playback delay.

Overall, we have been incredibly happy with this audio interface and it has allowed us to record bass, vocals, ukulele and percussion at a consistent high quality.
